home decor: my grandma's home details

hi everyone! today, i am sharing my grandmother carolyn's home details. i thought it would be fun to share home decor from my family as well (since you see my home decor all the time) :) i also love how each person has their own distinct style. i am so fortunate to have such talented and creative women in my life. between my mother, mother-in-law, grandmother's, sister-in-law, aunts and cousins i have a great deal of creativity in the family.

i apologize, these aren't the best quality photos as i didn't have my good camera with me. these are just a few details of her home from my i-phone. i love her traditional style, i always have. again, every woman in my family has their own style in how they decorate their homes to how they dress. i love each and every one of them! it's always great to get inspiration and ideas from family members and also to help share those ideas. my grandma carolyn enochs (aka mam) always has a great table. she is always known for having great tablescapes. sometimes, i think i am the only one asking her how she folded her linen napkins  haha but i get a great deal of my ideas from my grandmother.

i plan to share other family decor details with you soon! i hope you have enjoyed my first family decor post from my grandma! we have a busy weekend and week ahead with traveling and visiting family. i can't wait to share a few travel posts with you soon. hope you are all having a great week and i will see you all again soon :) xo

home decor: entry way fall decor

paw wanted to say hi

hi everyone! happy monday! i hope you all had a great weekend! my weekend was filled with family and friends back home in indiana. between my best friends baby shower, my mom's birthday, and my 10 year class reunion it was a busy and fun weekend. i am now exhausted and catching up on laundry and my house ha! i wanted to take a quick second to share our fall entry way with you.

this table is the same table we have had in this spot since we moved in and it is definitely one of our favorite pieces that we have collected. we found this table at the nashville flea market last year and i love decorating it for each season. last year for this spot, i used the same deer inspired picture and definitely wanted to use it again.

i wanted to incorporate more color this year verses my white pumpkins and silver details that i had last year for this area of the house. i love white pumpkins, they are definitely still my favorite; however, this year i thought we needed a little color and went with the orange pumpkins. i love how this area turned out. i used several pieces i had from last year and added several new pieces as well to create a fall entrance to our home. there are a lot of small pieces in this look and if you have any specific questions about where i purchased one piece or another, just ask!!

some of my favorite places to shop for fall decor this year: (obviously the faded farmhouse), hobby lobby, jo ann's, michael's, at home stores, flea markets, goodwill, and target.

i hope you enjoy this fall decor post of our entry way! if you have any questions, please ask away and i will see you all again soon! thanks for stopping by.

home decor: fall kitchen tables cape

hi everyone! it's been a busy time around here and i wanted to stop in and show you the fall kitchen tablescape i put together for our farm table! i love navy and white and these linen napkins from target that were only $3, do just the trick!

this table was created with a real neat white planter i got from the flea market last year for $15 and i turned it upside down and used it for a centerpiece. i draped the linen napkins over in different directions and added my favorite white pumpkins and deer antlers that i painted silver!

easy and a cheap way to m make your kitchen table look great :) i hope you all are enjoying your week and have been enjoying this cool weather. as you already know, i am loving it!!! have a great week and stay tuned next week for more fall decor and i will be sharing my entry way!!

happy thursday! xo

home decor: fall porch 2016

it's fall ya'll! now, if we can only get the weather to cool down it will be perfect!! i hope you are all doing well, it has been a week or so since i have written a blog post. we have been so busy with family things going on and moving my brother who moved from memphis to nashville, (we are so excited about that) that i am just now siting down to share my fall porch decor with you. i hope you are all as excited as i am about putting your fall decor up both inside and outside.

i have only 1 more thing to do with the inside and that will be coming this week as well! but i wanted to start by sharing our porch decor with you. i found several great pieces for the porch this season. several of these finds are from flea markets and antique stores with a mix of store items as well. we scored the chair at midland's antiques in indianapolis and the green bench/table came from the antique market in nolensville. everything else is pieced together from different antique stores and goodwill. i found the wreath at "at home" stores, which i love how it brings all of the colors together.

i hope you enjoy our fall porch decor and stay tuned for the inside house details very soon! happy fall and enjoy your week! thank you for stopping by :) xo

home decor: the faded farmhouse

hey everyone! as most of you know, i recently started a new job in columbia, tn with the faded farmhouse. God's timing is always perfect as i had been on the hunt for the perfect fit. i am so thankful for this wonderful new opportunity in the interior design/home decor world. i have several passions, and home decor is at the top of the list. with my blog, decorating our first home, and watching many episodes of fixer upper-- i have truly loved this aspect of decorating/home staging and the creativity it allows me to have.

the faded farmhouse was founded in 2012 with a first location in arrington, tn near franklin and the second location now in columbia (which is 12-15 minutes from our house in spring hill) for those of you who don't know. this store is incredible. the owner and family have done an amazing job and i feel honored to be apart of the team. i know great things are in store for my future here and for this business. as you can see, the store is pretty amazing. a large space, filled with farmhouse decor, furniture, gifts, and clothing; it's hard not to love! i wanted to share this new adventure with you and encourage you to come visit us.

i hope everyone is having a wonderful week, i am leaving to head back to nashville today as i have spent a few days at home in indiana with my family and hosting my first beautycounter party. more to come on the party!! enjoy your week and thank you as always for stopping by.xo
