pineapple delight

i wanted something pineapple and something slushy so i came up with pineapple delight ha! which consists of:

ingredients:
-1/2 cup of cool whip (frozen)
-a handful of frozen pineapple
-1/3 cup of pineapple juice or you can also use milk (i tried both) the pineapple juice gives it more flavor, the milk makes the taste more like ice cream obviously

details:
-blend all of your ingredients together and you have the easiest pineapple dessert for a hot summer day

it's almost a mix between pineapple ice cream and a pineapple slushy. very good and very easy!!

enjoy :)

gooey cake batter bars

these guys are awesome! very, very, gooey but good!

ingredients:
-1 box of yellow or white cake mix (i used yellow)
-1/4 cup of vegetable or canola oil
-1 large egg
-1/3 cup of milk
-1/2 cup of sprinkles
-1/2 cup of white chocolate chips

details:
-preheat your oven to 350
-spray your baking pan with nonstick spray
-combine your first four ingredients in a large bowl
-then add your milk slowly, you want the cake batter to be as thick and dense as possible
-mix in your sprinkles and white chocolate
-pour some extra sprinkles on top of the batter before it goes in the oven
-bake for 25-30 minutes or until your edges are golden brown
-allow to cool for at least 30 minutes after baking and before cutting
-you will notice the bars very gooey but make sure they are very cool before cutting
(do not use black sprinkles, because it will turn your batter black and that just won't be cute :))

i hope you enjoy these!

xoxo

bedside table re-do

i finally got around to updating our bedside tables this past weekend. they definitely needed a facelift! as you can see in the pictures above, we have two brown tables that i decided to paint white. i normally use paint but i decided to use a satin spray paint for this project. i love how they turned out.

enjoy! thank you for visiting my blog post :)

weekend fun

reed and i have been gone almost every weekend since april; therefore, we were looking forward to a fun weekend at home in nashville. the weekend started off with the sounds game on friday at their new stadium, which was a lot of fun.

saturday started early with the nashville flea market. rows and rows of flowers, plants, and yummy fresh produce. we were so excited to finally experience the famous peach truck that travels throughout the city selling their juicy peaches. we grabbed a bag of those, fresh zucchini, and fresh flowers (of course).

then, we ventured to the porter flea market. i have been following porter flea on social media and was itching to see all of the artsy crafts from local artsists. when we parked and walked over we got lucky and found the grilled cheeserie, crankees pizza, and retro sno (all food trucks that also travel throughout the city). we have been allowing ourselves one cheat day a week and boy oh boy we definitely claimed this as our cheat day ha!  you can see in the pictures above, how yummy it all looks. after we were literally sick of eating. we toured through porter flea and i ran into one of my favorite etsy shops "this loves that." she makes the cutest accessories and wall art (of course i had to purchase).

lastly, we made a quick stop by the franklin farmers market to check it out as well. it was such a great day of staying around home and enjoying what nashville has to offer (never disappoints) :)

i hope you all had a great weekend as well xoxo

diy flower teacups

aren't they the cutest little flower teacups? i saw this cute and easy idea in a magazine and thought these would be perfect for my house.

details:
-pick a plant or flower of your choice ( i went with a bigger plant, to ensure you have enough soil for your cup)
-choose a fun teacup or coffee mug
-place your flower in your cup and use the excess soil to fill to the top of the cup
-water it and display it in a good area where there is sunlight

i placed the blue and white cup in my sunroom and the polka dot cup is now on display on my window seal of my craft room.

such a fun and easy project! these would be perfect for a tea party, luncheon, baby shower, anything really!
enjoy! :)
